As the executor of my father’s estate, I needed to empty his home within a specific time-frame. Living in another state, with an infant and a career, the prospect was daunting.
My brother and I didn’t have to even think about how to address my fathers’ apartment and the items in it! Dealing with building management and coordination of allowing access for vendors, liquidators, movers, etc., Maris set protocols and procedures to make a safe environment to protect the workers, family members when packing, crating and delivery/liquidation/distribution of his possessions. We had to move them to a condo, and then clear out their condo and move them to an assisted living facility when their health was deteriorating.
